Our Reviews about….anything.

Zootopia (also known as Zootropolis in some European countries and the Middle East) is a 2016 American 3D computer-animated adventure-comedy film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures. It is co-directed by Byron Howard, Rich Moore, and Jared Bush, and produced by Clark Spencer, and it’s the 55th animated feature in the Disney Animated Canon.

Judy Hopps is a young bunny from Bunnyburrow who has a very optimistic view of the world. She lives in a new modernized world where predators are no longer feared by the preys as in ancient times ages ago. She hopes to be a cop one day and strives hard to achieve her dreams despite everyone else’s claim that she cannot be one.

As an adult, Judy heads to Zootopia, a place where everyone can be anyone they want to be. After tirelessly training and days spent in hard work she finally becomes the first bunny cop in ZPD. However, she realizes very soon that it is not such an easy task. She’s constantly assigned parking duty by Chief Officer Bogo. On one of her days on these duties she finds herself played by a small time con-artist fox, Nick Wilde. Later while she is being rebuked by Chief Bogo on her unlawful arrest of Duke Weaselton, a weasel, at little Rodentia, an otter Mrs. Otterson arrives at Chief Bogo’s office pleading the officers to find her missing husband. Judy offers to take this case, for which she is rebuked again by Chief Bogo, who gives her a deadline of 48 hours after which she would have to resign if she has failed the case. On a mission to prove herself, Judy starts looking for Nick, who’s a witness in this case and manipulates him to help her in the case, in return of which she would return a carrot pen which recorded Nick’s admittance to evasion of Taxes, which could be a source as an evidence for his arrest. However, while looking for Mr. Otterson, Judy and Nick find out that Mr. Otterson isn’t the only missing animal. In the past few days, 13 other animals had been reported missing as well. Not only are these animals missing but also reported to have gone savage. Moreover, all these animals happen to be predators. This news disrupts the peace in Zootopia and preys start fearing predators again just like ancient times. Officer Judy Hopps attempts to set this right, only to make a wrong move and create more panic. This also results in a dispute between her and Nick Wilde, her partner in case. In dismay, she resigns the job and heads home, where she finds a new lead and heads back to finish her case. With the new found hope she looks for Nick and they both, after resolving their dispute, head on to find the remaining pieces of the puzzle. After the mystery unravels, everyone’s put in right places and all the animals are cured of their previous disease and the peace is once again restored.
